Unwin(e)d: November 14

Looking for good books and good company? Then the Friends of the Libraries’ UnWin(e)d Book Group is for you! Stop in for our informal drop-in programs at Winans Fine Chocolates & Coffees (3510 Pentagon Blvd., Beavercreek). Attend any or all of the meetings – each are Thursdays at 5:30pm featuring:

  • Sept. 12 – The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards by Kristopher Jansma
  • Nov. 14 – Evel Knieval Days by Pauls Toutonghi
  • Jan. 9 – We Need New Names by NoViolet Bulawayo
  • March 13 – Man Alive! by Mary Kay Zuravleff

Discussion will be led by personable Social Sciences Librarian Mandy Shannon. You may bring refreshments or purchase Winans’ coffee, wine, and other offerings. Limited print and eBooks are available for borrowing from the WSU Libraries. The Barnes & Noble University Bookstore is also selling the books and provides a 20% discount to Wright State students, faculty and staff, and Friends of the Libraries’ members.

No registration is necessary. Drop in to join or listen to good discussion. UnWin(e)d is free and open to the public. More information about the club and books is available at the UnWin(e)d blog.

The UnWin(e)d Book Club is made possible through a Friends of the Libraries’ Staff Grant. The Friends are a not-for-profit group that supports the Wright State University Libraries’ programs, resources, and services. Membership in the Friends supports these goals plus provides borrowing privileges to the WSU Libraries’ and OhioLINK collections. Learn more about the Friends.
