Friends of the Libraries’ Student Photography Contest

Attention current Wright State students:

Show us what you love about Dunbar Library! You’re invited to submit digital photography highlighting Paul Laurence Dunbar Library. The Friends of the Libraries nonprofit organization will provide the following prizes for winners to be selected by a committee of University Libraries staff.

  • First place: $100
  • Second place: $50
  • Third place: $25

Submit entries by October 31, 2018. Include in your photos: library spaces, services, resources, a variety of users and groups, smiling faces, and/or technology.

Email entries as JPEG file attachments to some@libraries.wright.edu. Include your full name and Wright State email address in the body of the email. All entries may be used in Wright State print or online promotional materials.*

Need a camera or tripod? Check one out at the Circulation Desk. Want to edit your photos? Adobe Photoshop and a variety of other software is available on the library computers. The Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC) offers student assistants for drop-in help Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, or schedule a one-on-one appointment with a staff member.

Student photographers will retain copyright to any and all photographs entered in this contest, but, by voluntarily entering the contest, students agree to grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable license to Wright State University Libraries, for use of the image for marketing and promotional purposes.
