No political family has captured the national attention like the Kennedys. The family boasts numerous senators, successful businessmen, and a US President. The focus of this installment of the DDN Presidential Series is JFK and the Kennedy family. Because of their national prominence many Kennedys have visited the Miami Valley. The DDN collection contains original photos of President John F. Kennedy, Sen. Ted Kennedy, and Sen. Robert (Bobby) Kennedy.
The collection contains several whole newspapers related to the Presidency of JFK, including issues from the weeks following his assassination. The papers are torn on the edges and the type is fading in certain spots. I imagine these were the issues on display at the paper because they look worn and like they were exposed to continuous light. Please click on the images to enlarge them.
