“Things are getting better, plenty of provisions coming in, weather fine and people are recovering from fright and anxiety.
“There is so much happening all the time that it is useless to begin to describe. Just now Nellie is giving one of her nightgowns to the…girl next door.
“No gas for cooking, no telephone, etc., but we have water now. I also got hold of 3 fire extinguishers.
“Well, I can’t write more; Nellie had hysterics this morning but I got her around all right, she is resting nicely.
“Don’t worry, we get through all right.
“Wrote 4 times since Wednesday morning.
“Nobody allowed on Streets after 6 P.M. Shooting thieves still keeps up.
“Edward.”
