This summer, we will be undertaking some minor renovations to our reading room, including installing new carpeting and compact shelving as well as rearranging the layout of our existing shelving and tables.
Consequently, the Archives will be closed for a few weeks beginning July 4. We have tentatively planned to remain closed through the end of July. Limited reference service will be available during this time. Please indicate if your request is urgent. If possible, delay your request until after August 1.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately the closing is necessary to accomplish these renovations as efficiently and expediently as possible.
When we open again later this summer, we’ll have a bright and shiny new look. Furthermore, the reading room will have a slightly modified arrangement of materials, which we hope will better serve our researchers!
