Move-In Day 1995

Many of the new Wright State freshmen moving in today will have been born about 1995. Therefore, we have decided to take a Throwback Thursday look at Move-In Day 1995, as told by the WSU Guardian student newspaper.

Note the article on page 4 that this was the “largest ever” move-in day with 2,200 on-campus residents. (We currently have over 3,000 on-campus residents, according to the Office of Residence Services.)

The materials used in this blog post can be found in the Wright State University Archives, specifically: WSU Guardian, 13 Sept. 1995; and UA photos # 9509-15-8 and 9509-15-9 (Fall Fest 1995). Additionally, recent and historical issues of the WSU Guardian can be found on CORE Scholar; however, the 1995 issues are not yet available online.
