Historian David McCullough visits the Archives

Yesterday was an exciting day in Special Collections & Archives. We had the privilege of assisting historian, author, and lecturer David McCullough and his assistant Mike Hill with research for McCullough’s upcoming book about the Wright Brothers, Sky High, which will be released in May.

We’re happy to help any and all researchers, of course, but it is always an honor to assist such a well-known and well-respected one as David McCullough!

After a long day of research, Mr. McCullough graciously took time out of his busy schedule to chat with a group of our Public History graduate students in the afternoon. He shared a bit about his career path, praising archives and libraries for their help to him over the years, and answered questions from the students.

Mr. McCullough was also kind enough to pose for photos with SC&A staff members (and Orville and Wilbur) and the students.
