With the demolishing of the clock tower and the old section of Union railway station, work will soon begin on a new exterior for the terminal facilities under the overpass. The city will use the cleared land for extending Sixth Street from Ludlow to Wilkinson streets. Construction of the roadway is expected to begin this summer and be completed before the end of the year.
