New Exhibit: Presidential Visits to the Miami Valley

Only 1 week until election day!

Not surprisingly, there have been a lot of fairly local visits recently by major candidates, as Ohio is typically an important “battleground” state.

This has long been the case, and consequently, there are many wonderful photographs in our Dayton Daily News Archive of U.S. Presidents (some of them still just “presidential hopefuls” at the time) visiting the Miami Valley on their campaign trail.

We have featured a selection of these in an exhibit this semester: Presidential Visits to the Miami Valley. You can see this exhibit in the lobby of Dunbar Library, on either side of the center stairwell.
