Poems from the Past in Honor of National Poetry Month

Voices from the past speak to us through autograph albums, letters, and diaries. In honor of National Poetry Month, we’ll be sharing poems and sayings found in our collections.

Since September 1965 (Vol. 1, No. 1), Nexus, a creative writing journal managed by Wright State students, has published poems, short stories, essays, and art by WSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni. 52 years later, the publication is still going strong and is now available digitally.

Enjoy several poems from early editions of Nexus! Note the Autumn 1966 edition is really Autumn 1965. Inside front cover indicates volume 1, number 1, was actually published in September 1965.
