Nov. 27, 1958: Union Station at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening; about 250 passengers waiting for trains. The bustle at Union Station and the bus terminal yesterday brought back memories of World War II’s traveling throngs. But at Cox municipal airport the usual holiday bustle was absent due to the Trans World Airline strike. A Pennsylvania railroad spokesman said the trains were carrying extra cars.
