Yes, the DDN collection has photos from the Irish Civil War!

Caption: Followers of Eamon De Valera, Irish leader and fighter for freedom, raise the Sinn Fein flags to the tops of lamp posts before the opening of the political meeting in Ennis in 1923. De Valera was arrested at this meeting by Free State forces, whose head, W.T. Cosgrove, had opposed De Valera for leadership. De Valera was released shortly.

In 1932 De Valera became Ireland’s first President and served for 25 years.
